Overview

This policy explains how Telltone GmbH processes personal data when you visit our website or use the Telltone platform. We collect only what we need to operate the service, and we never sell your data.

Every workspace's data is isolated and scoped to that workspace. Access is enforced on our backend, not merely hidden in the interface.

You can reach our data protection contact at the address above for any question about how your data is handled.

03 · What we collect

Data we process

  • Account data — name, email, role, and workspace membership.
  • Operational records — the requests, conversations, and documents you create within your workspace.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used to keep the service secure and available.
  • Optional analytics — only if you consent via the cookie banner.

04 · Purposes & legal bases

Why we process it

We process personal data to provide the service (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR), to meet legal obligations (Art. 6 (1)(c)), and on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure, reliable platform (Art. 6 (1)(f)).

Optional analytics are processed only with your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by contacting us at privacy@telltone.com

05 · Where your data lives

Hosting & data location

The Telltone platform is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. Operational data does not leave the EU in the course of normal operation.

Where a sub-processor is involved, we put appropriate data-processing agreements in place and prefer EU-based providers.

06 · Cookies & analytics

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the platform. Optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) are set only after you consent.

You can review your cookie choices or withdraw consent by contacting us at privacy@telltone.com

07 · The rights you hold

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us, the Hessischer Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.

08 · How long we keep it

Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law. When you close a workspace, its data is deleted after a short grace period, except where statutory retention periods apply.

These documents govern your use of the Telltone platform. For questions, contact us at hello@telltone.com. German versions of all documents are in preparation.
